3.1.07 Filling in the gaps
Please add a note to the list of moderators below who needs information on their pages. Deadline: 5pm Sunday, March 4, 2007
Tracking your efforts
Please see page on Tracking Your Wiki. Our wiki is growing and having me track all of your edits, comments, and posts has become a mammoth task. It is also particularly tricky given the platform this wiki is running on.
To help out the process of accessing your work, you will turn in a weekly log of your wiki efforts.
List of moderators:
thank you laurel for the fabulous clean up job!!!
- Reliability :: Robotics (Terica)
There should be more information posted on both reliability and robotics. For robotics, there can be more information about how it is being used and some problems.
- Integrity (Steffi)
This section is pretty well covered. The only thing thing is it focuses mostly on online hackers. Maybe add some more articles about other ways in which integrity is challenged.
- Security (Nikki)
- Privacy and Anonymity (Esra)
all aspects of the issue are covered =D.
- Authenticity (Laurel)
- Intellectual Property (Nathan)
This section is quite well covered (8 articles). Perhaps we could use more articles directly discussing copyrights, trademarks and patents.
- Equality of Access (Natie)
Page needs more articles on IT’s potential to offer universal access to information, regardless of age, race, gender, or other personal characteristics.
- Control (Lauren)
This site needs a lot more information. Articles that do NOT discuss abused control would be helpful.
Need more articles on: the media and the world, general communication in a global society, reduction of cultural boundaries, increase in worldwide awareness, opinions on globalization; please note that you do not need to find articles agreeing with these exactly, but something along these lines would be nice. Thank you.
- Politics & Government (Larry)
Need more articles on: legislation, police, rebel and terrorist use of IT, and government administration. This is relatively strong section, but more is always better, right?
- People and Machines (Ben)
Info needed on IT Design With Relation to Humans
Info Needed on Digital Art, Film and Live Arts
- Policies and Standards (Miriam)
It needs more articles on policies and standards both in the government and businesses' but more so in the business. There also aren't any articles about policies and standards in private groups or individuals.
- System Fundamentals :: Science & the Environment(Jeff)
- Networks (Dien)
Since Networks are a category in its own. Could you guys explain the social and ethical issues associated with your articles in the summary. Just a brief explanation.
More articles are needed on issues on different types of personal and public communications. Under knowledge section, many of the topics have no articles. Also explain the social and ethical issues associated with the article, briefly.
* Software fundamentals (Michael)
- Databases & Spreadsheets :: Business & Employment (Becky)
Business & Employment needs more information on transportation, banking and finance, international commerce, and e-commerce.
This page only has two articles on it. I would say in general it needs more but not on any particular aspect of DTP and Word Processing.
* Images, Sound, & Presentations :: Education (Amanda)
In the "education" section, there is more stuff needed on school and library systems, modification of hardware & software for special needs, and telelearning also, there could be more articles for "I,S, and P" because only one person has posted an article on that site
Both pages need more information, but especially Artificial Intelligence & Expert Systems
- Tutorials, Training, & Wizards :: Health (Anne)
The tutorials, training, & wizards page currently has only 3 articles and although it appears that there is a very limited number of articles on this topic it would be best if more articles and information were included. For the Health page, although there are 8 articles there is no information is conerns with monitoring patients, IT solutions for disabled people, and medical advice on the Internet or a CD-ROM. These are important topic and it is important that they are addressed.
- The Internet (Anika)
